Beach Amenities

The beach is the perfect place to relax and let go of daily worries. But enjoying the shore fully requires the right amenities. Below is what you’ll find when you hit the beach:

  • Umbrellas and beach chairs. To prevent sunburn, nothing better than a shaded beach chair. You also have the option of hiring umbrellas or beach chairs for a comfortable stay at the beach.
  • Volleyball nets and courts. There’s nothing more fun than a cheerful game of beach volleyball. The shore now has several courts and nets, where you can enjoy the sport under the sun.
  • Restrooms. We know that no beach day is complete without a restroom break. Beachgoers can rejoice, as all today’s beaches offer several, modern facilities.

Beaches are a delight-filled affair, and its amenities make the experience even more enjoyable. From volleyball to food, there’s something for everyone. After all, the beach is a place to indulge and have the time of your life.

Safety and Rules

Rules exist to keep us safe and protect us from danger. As such, it’s important to always observe them when undertaking any activity, even the seemingly innocuous ones. Some activities come with their own set of that must always be instituted and followed.

Locking Doors and Windows
When leaving a space (home, rental property, business, etc.), always make sure all external doors and windows are locked. This ensures the safety and security of everyone as it greatly diminishes the chances of unwelcome guests entering the space during your absence.

Fire Etiquette
When lighting bonfires or using barbeque grills, it’s important to always take the necessary safety precautions. Note the position of your attendees and be mindful of the direction and concentration of the fire or smoke. Keep a bucket of water handy and extinguish the fire immediately after use.

Ride Rules
When riding rollercoasters, theme park rides, and other similar attractions, the following basic rules should be observed for everyone’s safety:

  • Check for any height or age restrictions.
  • Check if any items have been removed from the ride since the last time it was used.
  • Place personal items like hats, bags and glasses in secure storage.
  • Follow the attendant’s instructions in checking harnesses and buckles.
  • Always remain seated and keep your hands and feet inside the ride.

Beach Etiquette

Most of us can agree that the beach is the epitome of summer pleasure. To ensure that everyone enjoys their beach experience to its fullest, it is important that we all practice good .

Here are some tips on how to be a good beach-goer:

  • Respect other beach-goers: All beach-goers should respect one another by keeping noise levels low, allowing closer areas for those who arrived earlier, and keeping general cleanliness.
  • Keep public areas clean: All it takes is a few minutes of your time to pick up any litter that you see lying around. This includes the beach itself and any “public” places you have been using.
  • It is everyone’s responsibility to keep our beach clean.

  • Respect beach wildlife: Show respect to native wildlife and plants while exploring the beach. Don’t touch the wild creatures and stay back from the nesting sites of marine birds.
  • Keep dogs on leash and clean up after them: Everyone loves an afternoon at the beach with their furry friend, but be sure to keep your pup on a leash and pick up after them.

Hopefully, if beach-goers follow these easy rules, everyone will have the opportunity to have an enjoyable and safe day at the beach!

Accommodation

Finding the right for your travels can be tricky. So many considerations – price, amenities, location, and the list goes on. To provide some insight and help make your decision easier, here are some things to consider:

  • Hotel vs. AirBnB: Choose between the familiarity of a standard hotel or the independence of an AirBnB.
  • Amenities: Swimming pool? Gym access? Free continental breakfast? Consider what matters the most to you.
  • Location: How far away is it from the places you want to see? Or is it right in the middle of the action?

Another aspect to think about is the type of atmosphere you want. For instance, if you’re looking for a more relaxed, home-away-from-home atmosphere, then an AirBnB or a hotel with more of a bed and breakfast feel may be the right fit for you.

On the other hand, if you don’t want the hustle and bustle, a hostel may be a better option. Not only will you get a simple, yet comfortable lodging, but you’ll likely meet interesting people and have plenty of company.

Weather and Seasonal Information

It’s long been said that change is the only constant in life, and it’s no different when it comes to the weather and the different seasons. There are days when you can bask in glorious sunshine and days when the rain never seems to let up, but no matter the season or whether you’re on the east coast or the west coast, knowing how to dress for the weather can be quite a challenge.

The transition from season to season can be drastic, even in the same region. In the winter, the temperature might drop below freezing and the temperature might rocket above 80 degrees in the summer. It’s important to know the forecast for the day, dress in layers, and bring an umbrella, just in case of unexpected rain.

The length of the seasons can also vary. In many parts of the United States, spring arrives in late March and ends in late June. Similarly, summer arrives in June and ends in September, fall arrives in September and ends in December, and winter kicks off in December and ends in March.

Finally, don’t underestimate the power of the weather. Strong winds, heavy snowfall, and extreme heat can cause power outages, transportation delays, and disruptions in daily routines. This can be especially tricky when planning a vacation – whenever possible, consider researching the weather patterns for the part of the world you’ll be traveling to!
